Welcome to ArchiveSend — a simple, trustworthy way to send large photo and video files using your own storage. This page outlines our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in plain English.
1. Using ArchiveSend
ArchiveSend is a tool for uploading, organizing, and sharing files via third-party storage services you connect to (Wasabi, Backblaze, AWS S3). We don’t host your files. You control your storage — we just make it easy to work with.
To use ArchiveSend, you must:
-
Be at least 18 years old
-
Only upload content you have the right to share
-
Not violate any laws while using our service
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
2. Your Content Stays Yours
-
You own all rights to the files you upload.
-
We don’t store your files. They live in your storage provider’s system.
-
We only store basic metadata (e.g. filenames, upload timestamps, link settings) so you can manage and view your content within ArchiveSend.
-
We don’t train AI on your files. We don’t view, use, or distribute your files, aside from making your links work.
-
If you delete your account, we delete your metadata too.
3. Pricing & Billing
ArchiveSend is $5/month. That gives you unlimited transfers — using your own storage.
You’ll still be responsible for whatever fees your storage provider (e.g. Wasabi, Backblaze, or AWS) charges. ArchiveSend has no control over those fees, policies, or retention periods.
4. Canceling or Leaving
If you cancel your subscription, you’ll retain access to ArchiveSend until the end of your billing period. After that, you’ll lose access to the app — but your files remain in your own storage.
If you delete your account entirely, we’ll delete your metadata as well.
5. Link Security & Responsibility
You can add passwords and expiration dates to download links — and that’s great for keeping things private. But remember:
-
Anyone with a working link can access the file (just like an email attachment).
-
For sensitive content, share links and passwords separately.
You’re responsible for managing who gets your links.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use ArchiveSend to upload or share:
-
Illegal content (e.g. stolen, obscene, or pirated material)
-
Malware or viruses
-
Spam or unsolicited content
-
Anything that violates someone else’s intellectual property
We reserve the right to block accounts that break these rules.
7. We’re a Transfer Tool, Not a Backup
ArchiveSend is not a backup service. If you delete your files from your storage provider, we can’t recover them. We also don’t guarantee permanent access to shared links — especially if your storage provider changes settings or deletes files.
8. Privacy: What We Collect
Here’s what we do collect:
-
Basic account info: email address, name, profession (if you choose to share it)
-
Metadata about your uploads: filenames, file sizes, transfer logs
-
Billing info (via our payment provider)
-
Basic analytics to understand product usage
Here’s what we don’t do:
-
We don’t sell your data.
-
We don’t train AI on your content.
-
We don’t share your data with advertisers or third parties.
We use Plausible Analytics and may use Google Analytics in the future. These help us understand usage patterns and improve the product — not to track you across the web.
We use cookies to keep you logged in and make the site work better. We may use first-party cookies for marketing or retargeting in the future, but we won’t use third-party ad trackers.
9. Beta Program
If you’re using ArchiveSend during the beta period, you understand that:
-
Features may change or break without notice
-
We might email you to get feedback
-
We appreciate you being here
10. Legal Stuff
Limitation of Liability
We do our best to make ArchiveSend reliable and secure, but we’re not liable for:
-
Loss of access to files
-
Accidental deletions
-
Issues with your storage provider
-
Indirect or incidental damages from using ArchiveSend
Use it at your own discretion.
Arbitration
If we ever have a legal disagreement, we both agree to resolve it through binding arbitration instead of going to court. No class actions allowed. Arbitration will take place in Sacramento, California, under California law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date above. We’re not required to notify you directly, so please check back now and then. Continuing to use ArchiveSend means you accept any changes.
